The Positive Procrastinator
by Michael Levy
Maybe I should...but it might come to
I thought I would...but it was just a thought,
I was going to bring itÖbut it was already brought,
I nearly caught it...but it was already caught.
I might go for a walk...but it looks like
I think Iíll enter a contest...but it might be in vain,
Maybe I should exercise...but I donít think Iíll gain,
All my hopes seem to drop...right down the drain.
I might strive for something new...but I
donít think Iíd please,
Oh! Why is life such a tease?
Thereís not much left in my tube...maybe one more squeeze,
What a shame I canít see...the wood for the trees.
I know I can do it if I want...but not
I know Iíll find my opportunities... we just have not met,
I was going to do it...but Iím scared of what he said,
I know whatÖIíll go back to bed.
I wonder who I am...just a mixed up man,
Iíd like to achieve...but Iíve a positive ban,
In my mind Iíve built up this big dam,
If only I could find the opener...Iíd be let out of my can.
