Delicious Tailgating Drinks
(FeatureSource) – It’s time for the big game, and the gang’s gathered to do some tailgating. Because not everyone in your group may want to (or be able to) consume alcohol, your guests will appreciate it if you make some tasty, alcohol-free drinks from “The Mocktail Bar Guide” (Meadowbrook Press, $10.00 at www.meadowbrookpress.com) by Frank Thomas and Karen L. Brown.
Apple Sparkler
Pour 1/3 cup ice-cold apple juice into a pilsner glass. Top with ice-cold seltzer and serve immediately.
Sangria Touchdown Punch
Mix together 6 ounces of lemon juice, 16 ounces or orange juice, sugar to taste, and one bottle of nonalcoholic red wine. Stir in a pitcher until the sugar is dissolved. Chill until you’re ready to serve. Pour into a punch bowl and garnish with orange, lemon and lime slices.
Harvest Moon
Blend 2 ounces of mango-orange juice, 4 ounces of Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider and 1 ounce of orange juice. Pour into a tulip glass and garnish with a red apple wedge.
