Cream of Wheat, Oat, or Corn
100% all fiber cereal and bran flakes contain 12 grams of fiber each in a cup of cereal. Oat, wheat, and now corn bran are all extremely high in fiber. All forms of grain brans are useful in lowering blood cholesterol. IN this recipe, you can use oat, wheat, corn bran, or a combination.
Ingredients
1/3 Cup oat bran (You can also use wheat or corn
bran if you prefer.)
1/2 cup apple or peach juice
1/2 cup low-fat milk
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 teaspoon maple syrup
2 teaspoons raisins
2 walnut halves, chopped
Serves 1
Directions

Combine the bran, juice, milk, wheat germ, and maple syrup in a small saucepan.

Heat over a low flame until the mixture boils, stirring constantly to prevent lumping.
Cook over low heat for 3 minutes.

Remove from the heat and cover. Let stand 1 minute.

Gently stir in the raisins and walnuts.
