Herbal Sausage Patties
This is great if you like a meaty breakfast.
1 pound lean beef , ground twice
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Rind of medium lemon, grated
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup beef broth
Makes 8 patties
Mix together beef, lemon juice and rind, bread crumbs, sage, ginger, and broth.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Form into 8 patties about 1/4-inch thick.
Brush a heavy skillet with oil, and set over heat for l or 2 minutes.
Put in the sausage patties and cook 7 or 8 minutes on each side.
