Marzipan Dreidel Cookies

A very popular item during Hanukkah.
Makes about 24 cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups flour
Food coloring

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cream the sugar and butter together. Add flour and mix well. Divide into 3 or 4 equal parts, adding different-colored food coloring to each part.

Form the dreidel shapes by hand and using a straight edge like a knife. To form the top, use a wood skewer, cut into short pieces, and cover with colored dough.

Chill cookies for at least 30 minutes.

Bake for about 25 minutes.
