Turkey Meatballs In Tomato Wine Sauce
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
2 slices soft whole-wheat bread, torn in pieces
1 egg white
1/4 cup dry whole-wheat bread crumbs
1/2 medium-size onion, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1/4 cup Chicken Stock
1/4 cup tomato sauce
Dash of pepper
Tomato wine sauce (see recipe)
Directions
Combine turkey and all ingredients thoroughly. Shape into balls.
Make the tomato
wine sauce as per the recipe.
Drop the turkey balls into simmering tomato
wine sauce. Cook on low heat, partially covered, 30 to 45 minutes.
Serve over noodles or rice.
