Christmas
Greetings - 2002
By Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, Indian Orthodox Church
B
The celebration of the Word made flesh, who has come into the world, offers
us the welcome opportunity of sharing with you the joy, peace and hope of
this festive season.
We are celebrating the birth of one who gave His life to bring hope, justice
and peace to the suffering people of our world.
We greet every one to express our joy for the love of God expressed in
sending His son Jesus Christ for the redemption of the world.
Today in this world we are confronted with very difficult problems, conflicts
of all kind, abuse over divine creation and actions which lead the human
being away from God and Creator.
Let us turn our thoughts to Bethlehem as a source of
God's grace to
gain strength to give necessary guidance and directions to all people to
live in peace and in praise of God.
With all the best wishes and prayers for a Blessed Holy Christmas and a
Happy, and Peaceful New Year. |
