The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra
"THREYAMBAKAM YAJAAMAHE SUGANDHIM PUSHTIVARDHANAM. OORVAARUKAMIVA BANDHANAATH MRITYOR MIKSHIEYA
MAAMAMRUTHAATH"
Meaning:
I worship the three eyed Lord who is naturally fragrant, immensely merciful & and who is the Protector of the devotees. By your Grace, Let me be in the state of salvation
(Moksha) and be saved from the clutches of fearful death.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is very much a protector from accidents, mishaps and daily calamities in the modern busy life.
Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh, a rishi from India, has stressed the immense effect of this Mantra which when recited with faith, while leaving home, frees one from accidents and other calamities that can bring death. When God is so merciful why not benefit from such simple formulas.
Many Rishis have recommended that you recite this Mantra once when you go out of your home. It is very much suitable for the present day Life style when one is too much involved in a busy routine & activities. May this Mantra benefit one & all.
